Ubud, Lovina, Marine Park, cycling, snorkelling,
Mt Batur, Sideman. Be captivated by blissful Bali. Small villages
bursting with character, smouldering volcanoes rising from the lush rice
fields and idyllic sandy beaches that dot the coastline are just some
of the reasons that Bali is so beautiful.
Day 1, 2 Ubud
The artistic and cultural heart of Bali is a great place to begin our
adventure. We wander through the surrounding rice paddies and take in
a Balinese dance performance.
Day 3 Sideman
By bike we take to the small back streets of Ubud and beyond, a wonderful
way to see local life. We move on to the peaceful village of Sideman,
where the rural atmosphere and views are something special.
Day 4 Mt. Batur
After exploring Sideman and enjoying a traditional bungkus lunch by the
river, we head for the hills. Due to our early morning climb up the volcano,
we spend a short night in the small village of Kedisan, at the foot of
the smouldering Mt Batur.
Day 5-7 Lovina
Starting in eerie darkness, we climb to the summit in time for sunrise.
Descending from the mountains we head to Lovina, our base for snorkeling
in Bali Barat National Park, optional scuba diving, a walk through clove
and coffee plantations and a dip in a gushing waterfall.
Day 8, 9 Ubud
Travelling via Lake Bratan for a canoe ride, we return to Ubud for that
last minute massage or shopping. Refreshed and relaxed, we end a wonderful
adventure.
