Amazing red-tinged canyons and verdant hills are the highlights of this action-packed week of adventure. The home of Native Americans and American pioneers is the perfect setting for those whishing to enjoy active days and comfortable nights exploring the very best of the American Southwest.

One of southern Utah’s most enchanting places, Zion National Park is a blend of peaceful beauty and powerful landscapes. Head out for a short stroll along the Lower and Upper Emerald Pools, or opt for the spectacular but strenuous hike to the top of Angel's Landing and be rewarded with a spectacular 360-degree panorama. Phrases like, "Mysterious", "Breathtaking", "Out of this world", are just a sampling of what has been said of Bryce Canyon NP and its unusual rock formations. Choose an easy, moderate, or difficult hike along the Rim Trail, Queen’s Garden, or Peek-a-boo Loop. Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly (pronounced Canyon dee Shay), both situated within the Navajo Indian Lands, will evoke memories of many a Hollywood cowboy movie.

Enjoy a spectacular sunrise and sunset, take a guided jeep tour into seldom-visited areas of this revered land, and hike to the ancient cliff dwellings that were home to the ancient and lost peoples known as the Anasazi (Old Ones). A visit to the Hopi Land, unique because it is situated entirely within the boundaries of the Navajo Indian Lands, offers a glimpse of the modern-day descendants of one of the longest continually inhabited communities in the United States. Two days at the Grand Canyon NP rounds out this brief but memorable visit to the Great American Southwest.

Day 1 Zion NP
Early in the morning we travel north from Las Vegas to Zion National Park. Zion NP mixes peaceful beauty with powerful landscapes. The tree-lined Virgin River supports fragile flora and fauna as it meanders below massive, cathedral-like, sandstone walls soaring several thousand feet into the sky.

Day 2 Bryce Canyon NP
"Mysterious", "Breathtaking", "Out of this world", are only a few of the descriptions offered by past visitors to Bryce Canyon National Park. For close-up views, we allow plenty of time to take advantage of the park's incredible system of trails.

Day 3 Monument Valley
Monument Valley is home of the Navajo, and a perfect setting for incredible sunsets and sunrises. Take a guided jeep tour into seldom-visited areas and experience an incredible array of monumental rock formations and a rich Native American culture.

Day 4 Canyon de Chelly
Continuing deeper into the Navajo Reservation, visit Canyon de Chelly and, escorted by a Navajo guide, visit ancient cliff dwellings left behind 700 years ago by the Anasazi people. Descending hundreds of feet on a centuries-old trail, we spend a half-day exploring the canyon's bottom, where present-day Navajo raise crops and tend sheep within sight of the Anasazi's deserted ruins.

Day 5, 6 Grand Canyon NP
En route to the final destination, we drive through the Hopi Reservation - home to some of the longest, continually-inhabited communities in the United States. Afterwards, it is on to Grand Canyon NP, where an introduction is hardly necessary but a two-night stop certainly is! Walk the rim or hike down a trail, take in a scenic flight and view a sunrise and a sunset - or simply relax at the edge of this vast natural wonder.

Day 7 Depart Las Vegas
Onwards to the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas. Tour finishes at our hotel at approximately 5:30 pm.
