ancient country. We enjoy a night under the stars in the beautiful White
desert and travel across a vast sandy desert to the sleepy oasis town
of Siwa where time seems to have stood still. We explore the seaside city
of Alexandria including a visit to the Roman catacombs before heading
to the bazaars of Old Cairo.

Cairo, Coptic monasteries, Alexandria, Roman catacombs,

exploring remote oases, ancient catacombs, age old monasteries and towns

Day 1 Cairo
With its mixture of ancient wonders and modern mayhem, Cairo never ceases
to intrigue and amaze. Get out on the streets, into the cafes and through
the markets to make the most of your stay.
Day 2 White Desert
We travel by bus and jeep into the heart of the western desert on our
journey to the oasis of Bawiti. Camping desert style under the stars,
we experience the spectacular windswept landscape firsthand.
Day 3 Bawiti
Wake in the morning to be greeted by an other world landscape surrounding
our camp. An easy day spent exploring the desert and the desert oasis
of Bahariya.
Day 4, 5 Siwa
The isolated desert oasis of Siwa is lush with vegetation and date palms.
Get lost in the maze-like ruins of the mudbrick fort, cycle to the Hill
of the Dead and Temple of the Oracle or take a dip in Cleopatra's bath.
Day 6, 7 Alexandria
Alexandria, a Mediterranean port evoking memories of Cleopatra. Visit
the great library and enjoy a feast at some of the best seafood restaurants
in Egypt.
Day 8, 9 Cairo
Back in the pulsating capital of Cairo we wander through the maze-like
bazaar of Khan al-Khalili, where you can buy everything under the sun.
Don't forget to take a traditional mint tea in a cafe that never closes.
