Paris, Loire Valley cycling, canoeing on The Dordogne, prehistoric caves, Carcassonne, trekking in the Pyrenees, Barcelona.
Travelling between two of the world's most stylish cities, this is a journey of true contrasts.
From the manicured landscapes of the Loire to the rugged peaks of the Pyrenees, we travel through south west France and on to Spain on this active yet easy-paced adventure.

Day 1, 2 Paris
A walking tour introduces us to the world's most romantic city and its iconic sights - the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and the Champs-Elysees to name just a few.

Day 3-5 Loire Valley
Tours is our base for exploring the breathtaking Loire Valley. An easy-paced bicycle ride and picnic is a great way to experience the historical and romantic chateaux, so typical of this area.

Day 6-8 The Dordogne
This picturesque region is known for its rich history and sumptuous cuisine. After a visit to the wineries of St Emilion, we base ourselves in the charismatic town of Montignac where we canoe the Vezere River, explore pre-historic cave sites and enjoy a feast of local specialities.

Day 9 Carcassonne
A perfectly restored medieval town, Carcassonne sits on a steep bank rising from the River Aude, overlooking the village below. Explore this fairytale site of turrets and ramparts and learn about its long history.

Day 10-12 The Pyrenees
We make our way to our Gite d'Etape (mountain hut) near the town of Ax-les-Thermes, an ideal base for outdoor activities in the surrounding Pyrenees. After a long day's hike, what better than to sit and dangle your feet in the 'Bassin de ladres', an open bath in the centre of town.

Day 13, 14 Barcelona
Say 'Au revoir' to France and 'Hola' to the Spanish city of Barcelona. This cosmopolitan city offers an array of art and architecture, stylish shopping and non-stop nightlife.
