Ubud, walking, waterfalls, Mt Rinjani, Sengiggi,
snorkelling, island retreat, handicraft villages. Become immersed
in the scenery and culture of this tropical island. Get off the beaten
track, into the charming villages, emerald green rice paddies, tobacco
plantations and beautiful beaches as you feast on fresh seafood and discover
the fascinating Sasak culture of Lombok.
Day 1 Ubud
Enjoy a glimpse into Bali's cultural heart, where the streets are full
of artisans and their colourful creations.
Day 2 Kuta, Lombok
An early start as we're off to Lombok, home of the Sasak people where
we can bask on Kuta Lombok's gorgeous beaches.
Day 3 Tetebatu
Enjoy spectacular views of Mt Rinjani from the hillside village of Tetebatu.
Horsedrawn carts ferry us on a tour of local craft villages.
Day 4 Sapit
From this tiny picturesque village overlooking rice paddies on Mt Rinjani's
eastern slope, we walk through quaint villages to a nearby canyon.
Day 5, 6 Gili Islands
After travelling around the north face of Mt Rinjani and taking a leisurely
walk to Singang Gila waterfall, we move to the west coast and a relaxed
island retreat to enjoy more pristine beaches and fine snorkelling.
Day 7 Sengiggi
With bungalows only metres from the water, there is plenty of time for
a relaxing morning swim before a short boat trip to Sengiggi, Lombok's
original beach resort. Relax with a cocktail and a beautiful sunset.
Day 8 Denpasar
Time to say goodbye to this very special island. After a short flight
to Bali, the trip ends at Denpasar airport.
