Delhi, Varanasi, Taj Mahal, Jaipur, palaces, forts,
Khajuraho's erotic temple carvings, bazaars. A comfortable introduction
to the cultures of northern India. Mughal grandeur, magical and mysterious
Varanasi, the incomparable Taj Mahal, lavish palaces and vibrant bazaars.
Visit India's more popular places while staying in lavish hotels and even
a palace!
Day 1 Delhi
Colourful, busy and historic, Delhi is a true introduction to India. Wander
the bazaars and spice markets, visit remnants of the British Empire and
India's largest mosque, the Jamid Masjid.
Day 2, 3 Jaipur
Spend time in both the new and old capital of Rajasthan, gaze up at the
stars at the medieval observatory and shop in the bazaars.
Day 4 Agra
As a memorial to love, the Taj Mahal has no equal and is one of the world's
finest creations. There's also a visit to the famous Red Fort.
Day 5 Orchha
Picture book perfect, this small, peaceful town is unlike the rest of
India. With castles and temples aplenty to keep the cameras clicking.
Don't forget to also visit one of our favourite local community projects.
Day 6 Khajuraho
The exotic temples here are a must-see attraction. Saved from desecration
by their remote location, they are both mindboggling and intriguing. In
the evening enjoy another highlight, a classical dance performance.
Day 7, 8 Varanasi
This is the ultimate destination for all Hindus, an atmospheric world
of temples, shrines and devotees. Enjoy sunrise boat rides, walks on the
ghats and flower ceremonies set to traditional music.
Day 9, 10 Delhi
A free day in Varanasi to wander the ghats and do some last minute shopping
before returning to Delhi on an afternoon flight. Back in Delhi, enjoy
one last dinner together.
