Journey through northern Thailand in comfort and style, discovering diverse cultures, exploring the ruins of ancient kingdoms and glimpsing the world of Thai spirituality.

Day 1, 2 Bangkok
Outside the comfortable hotel the lively Bangkok streets are teeming with life and lined with aromatic foodstalls. Visit the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Grand Palace before taking a boat trip along the canals to observe the daily lives of the people who live here.

Day 3, 4 Chiang Mai
A cooking lesson at the famous Chiang Mai Cooking School reveals the secret ingredients of the delicious Thai cuisine. Chiang Mai is also a great place to shop at the night market and visit the spectacular Doi Suthep Temple.

Day 5 Elephant Conservation Centre
Whether you're riding an elephant or enjoying the Hmong culture, this busy day is both enlightening and enjoyable.

Day 6 Sukhothai
Cycle through the original capital of Siam, learn about its golden age and study its classic religious art and architecture. With many historical ruins to ponder, a wealth of treasures await.
Day 7, 8 Kanchanaburi
A samlor tour to the historical sites of the region is followed by a morning train ride on the infamous 'Death Railway' and the 'Bridge over the River Kwai'.

Day 9,10 Hua Hin
A beach retreat of the royal family, this quiet town has natural, recreational and historical attractions to explore. Play a round of golf, grab a seafood meal at the night market, indulge in a Thai massage, or just enjoy the sun.

Day 11,12 Bangkok
'The City of Angels' draws us back one more time for an evening cruise and dinner on the Chao Phraya River.
