and find time to try the many local food specialities. Finish off by touring
the many iconic sites of Rome and draw up your plans to come back again!

Amalfi, stop for lunch in Atrani and enjoy an evening feast in the lively

Day 3 Taormina
Set between the sea and Mt Tauro, this is Sicily's most beautiful town,
both for its setting and its people. Nature wins the beauty competition
here though, and we have plenty of time to enjoy its riches.
Day 4, 5 Syracuse
One of the most important cities of the ancient Greek empire, history
is an open book in Syracuse and is clearly visible in the many streets
and buildings. we stay in a lovely and peaceful B&B just out of town,
take a boat trip along the river Ciane, and a night stroll in the baroque
island of Ortigia, the focal point of Siracusan life.
Day 6 Palermo
At the crossroads of Mediterranean cultures, Palermo offers a blend of
cultural and historical grandeur that will keep us entranced. Notice the
different architectural styles, a reminder of the cities various past
rulers.
Day 7 Stromboli
Ferrying to this most northern Aeolian island, we head to the rim at nightfall
to glimpse the glow of its still active volcano and the 'Trail of Fire'.
Day 8, 9 Rome
